Genealogy is a popular pastime and hobby that is growing more and more every passing day. Companies like Ancestry and FamilySearch have made it so much easier for interested people to get started in researching their family history, but so much information has either been digitized and placed into a boutique repository or it has yet to be digitized.
I know what records have been digitized by the Library of Virginia, the University of Virginia, the College of William & Mary, and other repositories throughout Virginia. I also have experience with doing in-person research at each of those institutions and many more, so I can help you find the thread of your family’s history.
I also know the kinds of records in which family historians are interested, since I am a genealogist and researcher into my own family’s history as well. If you need help in using the repositories of Central Virginia and beyond, please contact me so that we can work together on your project.
