Public Records/FOIA

While at the Library of Virginia, I served on the Records Oversight Committee, the body which created and revised records retention schedules for state agencies and localities throughout the Commonwealth. As a state records archivist, I dealt daily with the records of state agencies and determined which were permanent records and which had met their scheduled retention and could be destroyed. If you need help in navigating Virginia’s Freedom of Information Act and requesting records from state agencies or localities, I can help!
